Most coloured stones that reach a jeweller in Europe, the United States or Australia have passed through several hands first — a dealer at the mine, an exporter, an importer, a wholesaler. Each adds margin and each is a step further from anyone who can answer a specific question about the stone in front of you.

Jaipurshine is built to remove those steps. We buy and check stones in Jaipur, photograph them, and list them here. When you enquire, you are talking to the person who has the stone in hand.

What we sell

Precious stones — emerald, ruby, blue and yellow sapphire — and a working range of semi-precious stones including amethyst, citrine, garnet, peridot, aquamarine, tourmaline, topaz and moonstone. Sizes are generally suited to jewellery rather than museum pieces, and every listing states origin, carat range, shape, colour and treatment.

How we describe stones

We would rather lose a sale than oversell a stone. Natural, treated and synthetic are stated plainly on every listing, and the specific treatment is named. Where an independent laboratory report exists we say which lab issued it; where one does not, we say that too and can arrange certification before despatch.

Buying from abroad

Cross-border buyers carry real risks: misrepresentation, customs problems, parcels that never arrive. We address these with clear disclosure up front, a correct commercial invoice with every shipment, insured courier despatch, and a named point of contact for the whole process.
